Our Story
A neighborhood taqueria, done right
Takeiros Taqueria started with a simple conviction: that a good taco doesn't need a fancy interior to be worth your time. It needs good meat, fresh tortillas, and a salsa that actually tastes like something.
Our kitchen is small. Our menu is focused. Everything is made in-house, every day — tortillas pressed by hand, salsas roasted on the plancha, meats slow-cooked overnight. We learned these techniques from the taquerias that raised us, and we haven't found a reason to shortcut any of them.
We're on Broadway in Sacramento because this is where we live. Our regulars know us by name, and we know how they like their tacos. That's the kind of place we want to be.
